We are a group of runners who run distances typicall longer than a marathon, 26.2 miles. We run on road or trail; however, a majority of the runs are on trail due to lower impact on the body. Those runs that are not on trail are typically track workouts or hill repeats on road. If you are new to the sport or have a remote interest in ultrarunning look no further. Team Challenge is a fundraising program for the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA). Starting in August we will be recruiting runners and walkers for our Inaugural Team in the Austin area. Team Challenge members will be training to rock The Strip at Night in the Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon on December 4, 2011 while raising funds to support the vital mission of CCFA.

All levels are welcome, however distances usually start at around 4-6 miles, with longer distances available for those looking for more training mileage. Most folks in the group are training at paces between 8 and 12 minutes per mile. Getting Started is a 10 week training program designed to help the walker/ light jogger to learn the basics of running and help avoid the pitfalls of injury while training. We will meet on Saturday mornings at 7 am. as a group for our group runs. We will cover the A-Z’s of running and you don’t have to do this alone bring a friend or two and a fun attitude and this will be a awesome running group for you. All fitness levels are welcome :-)
